NYFW trends

Hey! So it seems that the fashion world got bored of those popping neon colors and futuristic graphic prints we saw on past seasons, New York Fashion Week is over  and I have to say that the common denominators were monochromatic outfits, gem tones and sober colors like white, black, grey and nudes, it seems that the clothes will be matching the mood of the snowy season that most of the country has been experiencing these months, here I leave you with some of my favorite trends of fall/winter 2014:

Leopard print as seen on: Badgley Mischka, Anna Sui, Naeem Khan, Naeem Khan.
A must. Leopard print gowns and coats.

Snakeskin as seen on: Philosophy, Michael Kors, Philosophy, Reed Krakoff.
Snakeskin in grey-ish colors and camels.

Orange as seen on: Lyn Devon, CG, Polo Ralph Lauren, Jenny Packham.
Between all those gem and dark colors, orange and red-orange hues definitely made a statement.

Gold as seen on: Naeem Khan, Badgley Mischka, Naeem Khan, Betsey Johnson.
Cool and chic. Wear gold dresses, pants, shoes, coats, accessories, embellishments. And if you are in the mood try wearing different shades of gold! Or gold with silver. That would look good...

P.D. If you like the animal skin trends don't  buy the real thing! Thats really awful! Instead buy some faux furs and animal prints. Those are really cute too :)

Left: Lady Gaga in Prabal Gurung two of my loves combined. Oh and she had a nose ring see youll see a photo below.
Right: Lady Gaga Boticelli inspired.

Left: Erin Wasson in Alexandre Vauthier Couture. The girl can pull of anything.
Right: Chilli.

Black and white
Left: Jared Letto.

Cool Accessories

4 stars: Almost there

Left: Miley Cyrus in Dolce and Gabbana.
Right: Shailene Woodley in Emilio Pucci.

Left: Naya Rivera in vintage Paco Rabanne.

Left: 2 Chainz in Versace.

They wore the same pants!

Ariana Grande.

3 stars: Really nice but somewhat boring

Left: Crystal Reed in Zac Pozen. Love the dress, but for the VMAS I expect something more fun.
Right: Iggy Azalea in Emilio Pucci. Love the dress and love Iggy, but we've seen this dress so many times and in so many colors and in so many events its getting old.

2 stars: Not so nice and boring

Left: Taylor Swift in Herve Leger by Max Azria. Thats old lady style but done wrong. The dress, hair, makeup, too mature for her. I guess the color of the dress is the biggest problem here.
Right: Selena Gomez in Atelier Versace. Love the idea of the dress showing the sexy lace inside. Now that I think about it I regret rating this with two stars

Left: Allison Williams in Valentino.
Right: Ellie Goulding in Brian Atwood.

Rihanna in Rihanna for River Island. Come on Rihanna I know there are many other river island outfits you could have chosen. This is just too boring.

1 star: The train wrecks

Left and right: Katy Perry in Emanuel Ungaro, and that awful grill.

Left: Lil Kim. Lil Kims style...
Right: Coco Rocha in Fausto Puglisi. BORING. That is something you wear to buy groceries.

Left: Jemima Kirke.  Love the dress but hate the shoes.
Right: Sarah Hyland in Marchesa.

ugh
No need to explain this one.
